ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS - The Hartford Insurance Solutions

4.1.1 General Requirements

  • Must be a member of AWCI
  • Payroll of $50,000 or more
  • Minimum General Liability Premium of $5,000
  • 50 percent of payroll exposure must be in the following GL Class Codes
    √ 91346 - Ceiling or Wall Installation
    √ 92338 - Drywall or Wallboard Installation
    √ 97447 - Masonry Work
    √ 98449 - Plastering/Stucco Work
    Accounts with less than 50 percent payroll in the 4 primary classes will be considered on an individual submission basis.

 

 

Eligible Class Codes

  • 91341 - Carpentry - Interior
  • 91342 - Carpentry - NOC
  • 91436 - Ceiling & Wall Installation - Metal
  • 91580 - Contractors - Executive Supervisors
  • 91583 - Contractors - Sub Work
  • 92338 - Drywall & Wallboard Installation
  • 92478 - Electrical Work within Buildings
  • 94404 - Fire Proofing Structures
  • 94569 - Floor Covering Installation - Not Tile or Stone
  • 96409 - Insulation Work - Organic/Plastic Solid State
  • 96410 - Insulation Work - Mineral
  • 97447 - Masonry Work
  • 98305 - Painting - Interior
  • 98344 - Paperhanging
  • 98449 - Plastering or Stucco Work - Except EIFS
  • 99746 - Tile, Stone, Marble, Mosaic or Terrazzo Work - Interior Construction

 

 

Ineligible Exposures

  • General Contracting - Subcontracting more than 40% of total work
  • Roofing - repair or new construction
  • Iron or Steel Erection - does not include interior wall steel framing
  • Window or door installation
  • Demolition work
  • Asbestos removal
  • Tract Housing - Large housing developments consisting of similar low cost or entry level house, apartments or condominiums. Large developments of custom homes are acceptable upon confirmation of construction quality.
  • Contractors domiciled or operating in excluded states of Alaska, Arizona, California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada and New York.
  • Contractor involved in apartments/condominiums projects within the State of Washington.

 

 

Contractors with EIFS Exposures

  • Contractor must show evidence of separate EIFS coverage from a carrier acceptable to The Hartford.
  • Contractor must have an EIFSmart Certification.
  • Contractor must have certification as to product training from the EIFS manufacturer products they install: BASF Wall Systems (Senergy, Finestone, Sonowall), Dryvit, ParexLahabra (including TEIFS) and Sto.
